European Istanbul
Situated in the bohemian old city centre of Pera. The building dates back to 1920.It is a gracious simple 3 floor building on the downhill at 200 m from the sea and at 150 m from Istiklal caddesi the main pedestrian and shopping mall of Istanbul .The flats are cosy and very full of light as it is in front of the building there is an open space . The flats are suitable for 2 to 4 people. They have been modernly restored and furnished with modern and naive style. There is one flat furnished in an old typical Italian style and two flats with modern paintings. This will become your house in Istanbul, a small retreat after a day of wandering through the colors and the smells of Istanbul. Dogs are allowed. There is a wide collection of books and DVD if you want to relax after your strolls or if there should be a rainy day.
From the windows you can see the old European embassies: Palais of France, Palazzo di Venezia, the Old Dutch and Russian Embassy. You can breathe also the smells and the sounds of the old Fransiz Sokak (French Street) which is nearby. There are a lot of small shops around where you can buy groceries and fruit and all you may need at home ...just as you were one of the locals living here since a lot of time. You can really participate the local life living in the heart of the old city as if you were living in a small village .This was the old Beyoglu once upon a time and this is the modern one still retaining the fascination that drove here a lot of travelers from the old Europe .There are still a lot of gypsies living in the area along with modern shops and bars and restaurant .In this area you may eat until late in the night from Turkish food to European and have a Turkish breakfast in the morning at the simultaneous sound of the musulman prayers and of the Christian bells of St Antoine Church which you can hear every morning at 8 o clock from your windows.
Satellite TV with all the European channels, heating 24 hours hot water, DVD player, books, DVD collection, microwave, internet 24 hours wireless, vacuum cleaner, freezer, hair dryer, toaster, airport pick up upon demand.
