DirectionsThe public-transportation to the Old Town is the least expensive way (about 4.00 TL total), To use this method, exit the Arrivals Terminal secure customs area into the concourse, turn right, and look for signs to the "Hafif Metro - Light Rail System". Follow the signage down the escalator to the underground passage that will lead you to the Light Rail Station. There you will need to purchase two tokens (jetons) from the ticket booth, one for the Light Rail and one for the tram later. [NOTE: Any time you change between the Light Rail, tram, subway, or funicular systems you'll need to pay 2.00TL].(You acn also buy an Istanbul card and put some credit in it and use it all the public transportation, busses, trams, some ferries on the Bosphorous) A Light Rail Train leaves for downtown Istanbul every 5 to 15 minutes from the airport (runs 6:00-24:00). Ride it till at ZEYTINBURNU station and pass the kabatas tramline. Remember that you will need your other token now for the tram. Take the tram till the Sultanahmet (the recorded station announcement says "Bloo-mosk" ). Upon exiting the tram walk up the tramline ,pass the tram through the park, pass the Hippdrome (Hipodrrome is a place with 3 obelisk and a German fountain it is a pedestrian street)at the end of the road go downhill till you see the taxi station. Just pass the taxi station walk around 100 meters later on the right handside with a white colour
