Our guesthouse is the third longest running in Sultanahmet & Istanbul. With over 15 years experience, Mavi offers simple accommadation at affordable prices with an easy-going and down to the earth backpacking atmosphere. We are your home away from home. Breakfast is included with all accommodation, so you can start your day breakfasting and chatting with fellow travelers whilst sitting outside on our terrace. Our friendly staff can help arrange tours in both Istanbul and all around Turkey, provide helpful tips and information about the city and assist with any of your other travel needs. We are here to make your stay enjoyable and hassle free. We will even teach you to play backgammon like a pro! Own Mehmet Ali has lived in Istanbul for almost 40 years and knows all the best, local spots for sight-seeing, eating out and partying without having to spend a fortune. He even likes to take groups out on the weekend to Taksim for some Turkish dance nights; a safe, fun and cheap night out. In the summertime you can join us for two weekly eat-togethers: a street barbecue out on the porch and Ottoman cuisine-filled Manti night. The hostel offers free WiFi. Computer, telephone, fax, printing and scanning facilities are available for a nominl fee. There is a communal kitchen for those who want to cook up some of the amazing ingredient on offer in all of the bazaars and markets around the city. Laundry service is also offered and luggage storage is provided for tour-goers and late-leavers.
