Cheap Flights
nifty visa-checking tool & max stay allowances
I sawr this on Delta’s website:
Visa & Passport Information
Of interest (to me, at least),
+ US passport holders require visa to enter Russia (confirmed)
+ US passport holders do NOT require visa to visit Ukraine (as of about 2 years ago?)
+ US passport holders can stay in Serbia, Bulgaria, Israel, Romani, Croatia = 90 days each. I didn’t know this; I thought it was only 30 days.

This is not so much a magic genie bottle/cheap fare wishing well forum as much as it is for helping you figure out how to find best fares. Novice users will need to show some effort.
There are lots of good airfares, tips, and advice already posted on this forum. Scan a couple pages of recent posts for questions that are similar to yours. You might find what you need has been covered recently.
Rome to Paris
I would like to fly from Rome to Paris on either the evening of May 31 or morning of June 1. I’m being greedy and want my full day in Rome and my full day in Paris! I looked into taking a night train but that looks like insanity on a cracker.
So, from whichbudget.com I found flights on Ryanair and Easyjet. My favorite is Ryanair on June 1 leaving at 6:45 and arriving in Paris at 8:50 in time for breakfast. I’m wondering, how practical is this?
MSP-LON summer 2010 on Sun Country
Little Sun Country Airlines will launch Minneapolis-St.Paul to London Stansted flights this summer. Prices start at $399+taxes and fees each way. Looks like $936 for cheapest round-trip once taxes and fees are added. http://www.suncountr… Thanks to Airfarewatchdog.com for the scoop.
Boeing 737-800 will stop at Gander, probably for refueling. Friday departures June-Aug from MSP; Sunday departures from STN June-Aug.
Help with fares from SFO to BCN RT
Hi all,
I am new to this forum and I hope all the experts could help me out! We have a cruise coming up in June. Need to fly from SFO to BCN on either June 3rd, 4th or 5th and return on June 20th or June 21st. The fares have been very high. I am still beating myself up on missing the Swiss sale on March 3! I was very busy working that day and did not have a chance to jump on the fares and the sale only lasted like half a day. Someone told me it would have been a bit over $2800 for 3 of us (2 adults and one child) after taxes and fees which I consider not bad at all.

Questions about fees and taxes on flights
Hi everybody –
I am very new to the forum, and planning my very first (of many hopefully) trip to Europe this summer. First, I want to thank the creators of this site and everyone who posts this mass of tremendously useful information!
I am somewhat flexible in when I am going, but I am hoping for 3 weeks anywhere between May 31 – July 7. My friend and I hope to cover Spain, France, and Germany at a minimum.
So looking at tickets, I have noticed on Orbitz, that there are taxes that are up to $300, easily pushing the tickets over $1,000.
General flying costs?
Hey, i will be living in the UK for a bit and just want to know what are general costs for flying into europe, like for short trips? I have heard that they are really cheap, but how cheap, and do you have to be fast to grab them?
Eurotrip May-September 2010 (SFO to MUC, ATH to SFO)
Hey travelers –
I am headed to Europe for 3 months this summer and want a cheap flight! I have scoured the web, but anything under $1000 is proving very hard to find.
Trip details:
SFO to MUC, 5/25/10
ATH to SFO, 9/1/10
I am flexible on my departure dates (+-3 days) and cities as long as I can find continental flights to my start and ending destinations.
Studentuniverse is the best deal right now, @ $1,046 to and from the above locations. Have any of you seen anything better? Suggestions for a first-time backpacker?
PAR-NYC & Vegas new airline XLFrance
http://fr.xl.com/vol… Paris to JFK 29May-12June for 243 EUR round trip, tax included. Wow. Unfortunately, not as cheap if starting from JFK—some for 450 EUR in June.
[Cil—I thought of you on this one. Maybe too late this time, but if they continue past summer, maybe XL + Jetblue to JAX could work]
