Hostels
Hostel Availability
I am trying to figure out how often our hostels are not showing availability for dates you want to stay. If you are trying to book a hostel and you can’t because there is no availability, can you please reply to this thread with the following information:
Hostel Name, City, Arrival Date, Number of nights to stay
I need to know if the hostel company that we currently work with is allotting enough rooms for us that our users are able to book the nights they want in the hostel they want.
Thank you…

READ Before you ask WHICH HOSTEL to stay in?
Well, i’ve been meaning to get around to this post for months, and i’ve never found the time. Here we go.
So, for anyone looking for advice on “Where to stay”, please see the following links first. Then if you still can’t find what your looking for, then ask away. I’m sure myself or someone else will try and find an answer for you.
You can use most of these sites for hostel reviews. You should also be able to find reviews for “budget hotels”, which I like to use. It’s a hotel, with the price of a hostel.
Any Good Choices?
Heading to Eastern Europe in July, looking at these towns, wil prob not stay at all if I do not have enough time, but would be good to know which towns have decent hostels to stay at
Thanks.

why do the prices change on the hostel boooking feature
When i use this sites hostel booking feature, I search for availability for a hostel, and it says shared available at say $15, but when i hit the “book now” button, the price suddenly becomes like $45 per night. I’m just wondering is this because of the specific days of my trip? Are there fees, and if so what are they because I don’t see any list of fees? Any answers would help.
Also, somewhat unrelated, but how far ahead of time do people normally book their hostels? I’m planning a trip for late June and July, I feel like I should probably start to book now, right?
Where should I stay?
I am taking a two week vacation to Rome, Paris, London, and Amsterdam this June and need some friendly advice on what Hostels to stay in. I would like to stay at Hostels more geared to younger crowds and environments for meeting new people. I have done some research and have I come up with a few candidates. The Yellow in Rome; Peace and Love, 3 Ducks, or St. Christopher’s in Paris; St. Christopher’s in London; and Flying Pig in Amsterdam. If you have stayed at any of these places please let me know what you thought or if you know of better places, I am all ears.

Travelodge £10 room sale started today
[quote] The key to bagging bargain rooms at budget hotel chain Travelodge is timing. The hotel chain tends to release discount £10 – £25 room sales in tranches, leaving them there until they sell out. Therefore if you look for rooms at the start of a genuine sale, there’s widespread availability.
Dates you can stay: 1 Dec ’11 – 1 April ’12, incl Xmas & New Year’s Day (but not NY Eve).
Cheap rooms available: 50,000 rooms at £10, 34,000 rooms at £12 and 40,000 at £15.
Typical non-sale room price: £29-£75
