Hostel Availability
I am trying to figure out how often our hostels are not showing availability for dates you want to stay. If you are trying to book a hostel and you can’t because there is no availability, can you please reply to this thread with the following information:
Hostel Name, City, Arrival Date, Number of nights to stay
I need to know if the hostel company that we currently work with is allotting enough rooms for us that our users are able to book the nights they want in the hostel they want.
Thank you…

READ Before you ask WHICH HOSTEL to stay in?
Well, i’ve been meaning to get around to this post for months, and i’ve never found the time. Here we go.
So, for anyone looking for advice on “Where to stay”, please see the following links first. Then if you still can’t find what your looking for, then ask away. I’m sure myself or someone else will try and find an answer for you.
You can use most of these sites for hostel reviews. You should also be able to find reviews for “budget hotels”, which I like to use. It’s a hotel, with the price of a hostel.
Walrus Waterloo Hostel
Has anyone ever heard or stayed at the Walrus Waterloo hostel? It seems to be really cheap for when I plan to visit London.
tons of questions?!!
so when you are booking a hostel and bed linens have a big red “x” next to it what does that mean?
Best/Cheapest places to stay in Amsterdam and Greek Islands
Im doing a Eurotrip with 2 friends and we’ll be in Amsterdam for 4 nights and then we’re going to the be in Greek islands with some nights in Mykonos and Ios before heading to Corfu where we will definitly be checking out the pink palace. Iv done some reserch on hotels and hostels in Amsterdam and it looks like it will be at the very cheapest $40 CAD each night which is about as much as we each plan on spending. We’re hoping to find cheaper places in Greece. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels or hostels? We’re looking for pretty basic places.
Thanks for any input
new to hostels
Hello everybody again
I will be new on this thing of shared dorms with strangers and will be such an experience that I don’t know if I am prepared to it.
How is the safety there? Do I have to sleep with an eye open looking at my baggage or how does this works out?
How do the shared bathrooms works? Are this like big open shower bathrooms or will people have some privacy in cubics?
When I first started planning my trip, I consider like 40 per night, but now I am seeing it might be a lot more if I want a private room, so probablly not an option.
? for travel veterans
I will be traveling Europe for a month in September of 2010. Since this is the off season and I dont want to have to stick to a specific itinerary,,,,will I need to book Hostels in advance or would you recommend reserving.
Thanks,
Cory
Refundable booking?
Hello,
My name is Amr I am planning a trip to Madrid, Barcelona, Rome.
I am applying for a Schengen Visa so I need to book a Hostel in advance, at the same time I am afraid I don’t get my Visa so, I am looking for hostels in those three cities which don’t take any fees for cancellation nor (deposits) or at least are refundable on cancellation.
Thanks
Amr Elsehemy
