Munich Oktoberfest

Hello!

I want to rent my room in a student hostel/dorm (around 20 m²) during the okotoberfest.
The room lays central in munich.It takes 10 minutes to the central station with public transport. So you are on the okotoberfest within 20 minutes.
You have one bed for 1-2 persons and room for up to 4 people on the floor so you have to organize your own equipment like sleeping bags.

I’m a 24 year ols student from Munich and I d like to rent my shared flat (walk-through) room during the Oktoberfest 2010 because I am on holiday at that time.

It is a beautiful 18 sq.m room with a twin bed and a sofa.
The appartment is shared with 3 other housemates and about 80 sq.m big.
You can use the kitchen and the toilett of course and feel at home

I had canceled my previous plans to attend this years fest after a lot of big talk early on.

However, after some hasty decision making, I just booked my flight! I will be missing most of you guys AGAIN, but I will still get to partake in some excellent brewage. Ill be there from 9/30-10/3….

Just out of curiosity, I wanted to know if there’s going to be any tents Canadians will be congregating in. I’m flying out of Toronto on Sept 20 into Frankfurt with two others and staying in Munich with friends….This will be our first Oktoberfest, cant wait!

Held in Nam Truc and Vu Ban Districts, Nam Dinh Province, Vieng market festival is launched on the annual 8th day of the first lunar month, only once in a year, when people have just finished their Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.

Legend has it that Vieng market is linked somehow to the person who brought copper casting to the area, Nguyen Minh Khong, so people who go the market feel that they will get lucky if they buy something made of copper at Vieng market on this day.

I rent two big rooms in a very big house in the outskirts of Munich. I’m a 26 years old student, currently writing my master thesis. I can give you some good tips in Munich concerning nightlife, shopping, sightseeing etc. I speak fluently english, french, greek and ofcourse german! I’m pretty relaxed and cool!

1st Room: 25sqm with its own bathroom, double bed (place for 3rd person is possible)
2nd Room: 15 sqm with shared bathroom. The bed is bigger though.

Linen and towels are included!

Ahhhh! We are going back to the fest! Last minute plans changed and we are going now. I’m afraid that we won’t be able to find anywhere to stay though. We usually stay at the 4U Hostel, but they are full. Any suggestions on places that might not be full yet? We need on the cheaper side of things. Thanks for any assistance!

Any advice from festival veterans is appreciated as I’m a bit overwhelmed….
There will be 2 in my party, and we’ve set aside 18/9 and 19/9 for Oktoberfest.

I’ve looked into getting tickets or reservations for various tents but do I really need them?
How easy is it to get a space for 2?
Can people drink outside the tents?
Can people move from tent to tent?

Any and all tips to make this an easy and stress-free adventure are welcomed.

-getting into the tents (do we need reservations and how do we get them?)
-nightlife…where to go???
-where to EAT?
