Great trip planned, I hit most of those cities on my last trip, let me know if I can help with your planning. One recommendation is adding Verona, Italy to you list. Great city.

I think your Italy leg is a little jumbled up (too much backtracking) but once you get that sorted out, it looks like a great trip!
For Italy, btw, I’m thinking it would go smoother if you went Rome-Siena-Venice-Cinque Terre-Genoa-Nice. Although, I would also like to ask, why Genoa instead of Florence??

I like that you are starting down in Athens – are you flying back from Amsterdam or do you have to get back down to Athens to fly home?

I would recommend stopping in Corfu on the way up to Rome.

I am also wondering if you plan on visiting any of the Aegean Islands such as Santorini or Paros on this trip?

I am definitely planning on visiting some Greek islands, I just haven’t added any to my itinerary yet because I need to research what group of islands to travel to…

Lots of party islands in Greece. Mykanos and Corfu are the two standouts. There’s a big backpacking scene on Corfu and a more euro clubby feel to Mykanos. You can ferry from Italy -> Corfu -> Mainland Greece
