hey guys im new in the site and i must say , geat site i got alot of infomation here
me and 2 friend are playing a eurotrip in 2010 jun-july
what do you think ?
the main countries are netherlands ,germany czech republic …..
4 days in berlin is too long…try munich for a day or two
I would perhaps try and spend more time in pairs and London so you can see the places. Perhaps cut some day’s off Prague and Berlin. for this. Or as finnegan says Munich is a great fun place to go to so you can’t go far wrong with that.
ok guys maybe i will add a day in london and paris and cut berlin to 3 days and czech
what do you think about the money 5k will do for this trip?
and places should i see or go , you recommend ?
and can you give me tips in general?
Cut Berlin to one day…Berlin is really a boring place. What made you decide to go there?
I would disagree with finnegan’s last statement, Berlin is a great city and 3 day’s would be ideal.
I think $5k should be more than plenty especially given the weakness of the Euro just now. For some general tips have a search of the forum’s, there’s year’s worth of great tips to common question’s asked.
yeah this site is great, i found alot of info here

and i am still looking….
finnegan about berlin , why do you think 1 day will do?
i never been in berlin, but i think i could find lots of things to do in 3 days ..
about the money, i think its good to have more then you need
anyway if you got some info about anything i may need , it would be great if you can post it here
i will update when i gather more info
what kind of pass should i get??
global pass?
and i dont undetstand this thing i saw a global pass for 15 days or 21 days…
to use in 2 months or something….
There are two kind of Global passes, Continuous one’s which can last from a couple of week’s to Several month’s, this means that you could use a train every day of the pass duration in the available countries. The other kind of pass is a selective one, with so many day’s in a given time frame. This means that say 15 day’s in two month pass. Would do what it says within 2 month’s you can use the train for 15 day’s during the two month’s.
I just find Berlin unfriendly, dirty, expensive and boring…I’m not into WWII history or Cold War history. Most of the place was destroyed in the war, so the historical beauty that you can find in other cities (i.e. Bamberg) is really lacking. Not a big fan of ugly modern architecture. If you have limited time, I think there are better options…like Munich or even smaller towns like Bamberg, Hamburg, etc.. having said all that, I guess you should go to Berlin for at least a day and see for yourself. Let me know if I’m wrong
so if im going for 21 days i should get the slective pass i guess
coz i will travel in trains for about … let say 12 days within 21 days
btw eurorail is the only company in europe ? train compeny…? and finnegan i will read more about germany , i have got time till the trip ^^
thx for your opinion
Eurorail is not a train company, i.e. there is no such thing as a Eurorail train. It is the name of a company which offer’s passes valid on numerous trains. Each European country will typically have several, individual train company’s with the bigger one’s operating internationally throughout the continent, A Eurorail pass is valid on the majority of European trains.
As for what type of pass, look at the price’s and get which ever one is the cheapest to suit your trip.
i changed alot of stuff added days and countries to the trip
!!
i got 3 more days that i want to spend somehow and i need your help
i dont know if i should go trow another city in paris coz its along way to spain.
we start the trip in the 1 july till the end of the month, im hoping to fall on some event , maybe you guys know….
if you can recommend some hostels , (i got some hostels in mind but i need more )
we will travel by train with the global pass
and if you got some tips about the trip , i would like to hear
hey guys i have updated my trip
i allready bought the tickets
im gonna buy the global pass 10 days within 2 months
im planing to take a flight from paris to barcelona
and from barcelona to millan (easyjet)
and im going to rent a car in Munich and drive to Frankfurt.
and im gonna book all the hostels upfront.
if you guys would give me tips it would be great
thx
I’m not a big fan of Milan (it’s still rated one of the most polluted cities in Europe and for good reason). Maybe spend a day there, but I would head out of town to Como or one of the other alpine lake towns in Italy.
tblaze: to make it easy, you can buy a eurail pass straight from Eurotrip. It’s as cheap as anywhere else (it might actually be a little cheaper with the rebate). Please consider it if you’re buying a pass anyway
If you need any help at all purchasing, send me a PM.
(BTW: you can also book hostels here too by clicking the book hostel link in your edit screen.)
thx for the help

)
i have ordered allmust everything and im allmust set to go
i was wondering what kind of crazy things i can do in europe
like bungee jumping (im doing it
and its should be near to any locations that i will be in and btw the rail pass is so thin?! why is that? im trying to think of how will i keep it from riping .
thx.
Not sure of the bungee jumping, but I’m sure you can find it (maybe berne?). You have some kick ass places you’re visiting and you’re going to have a blast I’m sure. Take good care of your pass! Keep it with your passport and I’m sure nothing will happen to it.
THX ALOT FOR THE HELP GUYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
