I have no traveling experience whatsoever. My grandparents were generous enough to give me a 5,000 dollar high school graduation gift last summer. I just completed my first semester in college. I want to take the spring semester off and go to Europe alone for a couple months. Do I even have enough money??? I plan on flying to London and going from there. I want to visit as many countries as possible. Any help would be great
Not sure where you live, but if you were leaving from New York, a round trip ticket would cost you about $600. That leaves $4,400 — That gives you $70 a day not including rail ticket. It’s doable, but a bit difficult. Can you shave a week or two off of your trip?
Once you figure the budget out, enter some cities that you want to see and let’s start building your itinerary.
Just saw your screen name and figure your from San Diego!
Delta has good rates from San Diego to London right now. For your schedule, I see fares at $616 with taxes. Take advantage of that asap!!!
thanks. Yeah I can definately shave a week off.. Umm Ive been reading around here and I guess it makes the most sense to get a rail pass. So that would probably leave me at 3800 bucks after airfare and transportation
I would actually shave off about 2 weeks.
A good start to your itinerary. I would spend less than 3 days in any city, and don’t forget to take travel time into consideration. Between Berlin and Vienna, I would make a stop in Prague.
