Hey guys, first time using this site, first time doing a eurotrip for that matter haha.

My “itinerary” is at best tentative. The goal of the trip is to explore a bunch of cities and see the big ticket items, I read that we don’t want to over-stretch ourselves and spend most our trip traveling… SO essentially, I’m wondering if we’ve over booked ourselves, and which of the places might need more days for exploration!

P.S. I was thinking of maybe going to Athens on the last three days, but that’s a ways away.

I think this is reasonable in terms of number of cities. The distances involved are long, which is a bit of a problem. While, this will probably wokr, I’d save either Spain or Italy for you next trip and concentrate on the other to avoid spending a couple of full days “in transit” between. 8 days in Italy would allow you to add Florence or Cinque Terre and another day in Rome. Other option would be to skip Italy, add a 2 or 3 days in Madrid (preferably 3 to allow a day trip to a medieval city like Toledo, Avilla or Segovia) and spend an extra day or 2 in London for Day trips.

IMO, 3 days in Athens is a waste of time and money. You’ll spend a full day getting to Athens and your 3rd day is likely to be entirely devoted to your flight home or to your next destination, leaving one day in Athens — enough time to take a picture of the Acropolis but not enough time to get to an island, see any of the more interesting ruins outside Athens, or really experience Greece.
