Rome’s not on the menu long because we’ve been there before. If you’ve got any tips for places other than Bologna and Orvieto (anything cool in Tuscany or Umbria), let me know. Thanks.

No idea what to do in Lugano. Suggestions?

Don’t know Lugano too well, so can’t help you there. Looks like a really great trip, though! San Giamango is a pretty cool medieval city outside of Florence you might find interesting. Enjoy the food in Bologna as it is the gastronomical capitol of Italy. Look like a delicious trip.

Thanks! We’re definitely rushing around, but I’ve been to a few of these places before. We thought about San Giamango as an option near Florence, and also Greve in Chianti. Probably play that one by ear.
