Eurotrip Recommends!
For a taste of Italy from Rome this is a popular route that will let you explore some of the best that the country has to offer. Start off by flying in to Milan and spend a day exploring this cosmopolitan city before hopping on a train to one of the most unique cities in the world: Venice! Exit the train station with a straight-out-of-a-postcard view of the Grand Canal and wander the quiet alleyways of this extraordinary city sampling scrumptious fish and watching the world go by at a slower but certainly more fascinating pace. After getting lost in the narrow streets, catch a train to the vibrant capital of Rome. Your four days will go quick, but don’t forget to stroll through Vatican City, gaze at the Forum and Colosseum and drink copious amounts of wine before dancing the night away at one of the many clubs that dot the city. After you had your fill, head north to Tuscany where you can stop in a few smaller enchanting towns before entering the art capital of the world —Florence. See countless examples of the best Renaissance art and maybe even take a day trip to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. From there make your way to Monterosso and the heart of the stunning 5 cliffs of Cinque Terra. Take a quick hike between the villages that seem to float in the sky before finally getting back to Milan. Book a reservation to see the unimpressive Last Supper (just to say you did) and shed a tear before you fly home.
