Austria
Austria Apart from Salzburg and Vienna
Hello all,
I’ve got a couple of days free in my trip to spend in Austria this summer. I’m starting to run out of time to research and plan so I was wondering what suggestions you guys might have.
So far I have planned:
Several destinations in Slovenia then travelling from Bled to Vienna (Day trip to Bratislava) then to Salzburg and to Munich for the flight home.
Help with my summer 2012 itinerary please!
Hi everyone! I am looking for some help with my itinerary for backpacking Europe this summer from the end of May through the beginning of July. My boyfriend and I are going for exactly six weeks and I am a little concerned that we are trying to fit too much into a too short amount of time. We are flying into London on May 29 and flying out of Milan on July 10, so those are set in stone.
Three Weeks in Europe Next April/May
I am planning a trip to Europe next year. Thinking about sometime in April/May. I have been to most of these places but added a few things I haven’t seen before. Is this itinerary doable? Or is there any place you would add or change? I have been to Amsterdam, Austria and Italy before and stayed overnight in Germany but travelling with some friends so am trying to accomodate them as well.
I added in the day trips as well as train/hostel info. Tend to be a bit of a planner LOL.
9 person, 13 night euro trip - everything planned...except transport!
So, we decided to ditch our travel agent because she was NO help. She just wanted to put us on a cruise ship. Instead, we took up the task and booked 4 nights in Munich, 5 nights in Florence and 4 nights in Rome for 9 people. So, everything is done except transportation.
It would be a simple matter of buying point to point rail tickets to our destinations, except that our group wants to do different things while we are in our locations.

Is Hostel Right for Me???
Hey All,
I’m planning an off season trip to Europe next month and am wondering if a hostel would be good for me. I’m 40 years old, young at heart and ready to have a great time in Amsterdam but wondering am I too old for staying in hostels?
I’d stay in hotels but hostels are better for my budget. Also not sure but am I getting this right that private rooms can be had for only $10-15 per night? How do they do this?
Best place to snowboard in Europe
My beau and I are traveling to Europe for the Holidays. We’ll be spending Christmas in Prauge, and New Years in Munich. We are also traveling in Switzerland, France, and possibly Austria. We have a Eurorail pass and would like to snowboard one or two days. Any suggestions? Possibly somewhere our passes would cover? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
A question about the most convinient way to travel these places?
Okay, so here I am planning a second trip next summer. Ideally, I’d be traveling 3 to 4 months this time.
In that time, I’d love to visit Switzerland, Autria, more of France, and Czech Republic, Greece.
What would be the most convient way to do that(and the cheapest) I’d love to visit the capitals and also beautiful little towns that I may not know about yet. Is the global pass a good option? And also, what option would I take, I’m a bit clueless when it comes to eurorail passes.

Overnight train costs (Budapest-Prague, Prague-Vienna-Florence)? Do you recommend them?
Hello everyone!
I’m Luis from México. I’m very happy because in mid-August I’ll be living a personal dream of mine of traveling Europe and living in Budapest for the next 5 months!
I am in the process of deciding which is the best way of traveling through the following cities I want to get to know in the first days in Europe: Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Florence, Bratislavia and Venice.
Does anyone of you guys know approximately how much does it cost the overnight train from Venice-Vienna, Florence-Venice, Budapest-Prague, Prague-Florence??
