Tour Italy, Central & Eastern Europe On Line (Video + Stills)

My film “Gondola With the Wind” can be seen on the web if you have a high speed internet connection. The movie begins in Italy with Rome, Pisa, Florence, and Venice. It then features Vienna (Austria), glorious Prague (Czech Republic), Poland (including Warsaw & Auschwitz), Ukraine, and Budapest (Hungary).

This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I still sell nothing.

Help with my summer 2012 itinerary please!

Hi everyone! I am looking for some help with my itinerary for backpacking Europe this summer from the end of May through the beginning of July. My boyfriend and I are going for exactly six weeks and I am a little concerned that we are trying to fit too much into a too short amount of time. We are flying into London on May 29 and flying out of Milan on July 10, so those are set in stone.

A question about the most convinient way to travel these places?

Okay, so here I am planning a second trip next summer. Ideally, I’d be traveling 3 to 4 months this time.
In that time, I’d love to visit Switzerland, Autria, more of France, and Czech Republic, Greece.
What would be the most convient way to do that(and the cheapest) I’d love to visit the capitals and also beautiful little towns that I may not know about yet. Is the global pass a good option? And also, what option would I take, I’m a bit clueless when it comes to eurorail passes.

Making rail reservations

I just purchased a European East Pass through raileurope.ca (for $344 CDN)
I was advised to buy first class by others who have travelled by train in Europe.
I have a few questions:
Is it necessary to buy a first class pass to reserve a first class seat on a train? (may be obvious but just trying to figure everything out)
And…
I would like some advice regarding reservations.

Prague for Christmas

I am studying abroad in Paris next fall, and when my program ends, I was planning on doing a little traveling: Rome from December 18-23 (prices for hostels seem to go up Christmas Eve-New Years), and Prague December 24-26. I’ve heard Prague is magical in December, but I’m worried that things will be closed for the Christmas holiday. From the brief research I’ve done, it looks like everything will be closed on Christmas Eve, but most tourist attractions will be open on the 25th and 26th. Any advice? Should I plan to travel on the 24th and just relax and settle in?

Eastern Europe, December 2008-January 2009

Hi everyone! I’m planning a solo backpacking trip (my first!) for this December/January. I got a great deal on a flight to Poland so that’s my starting point. I need some pointers on where to go/avoid and also some ideas on how over-crowded my current itinerary is looking. Help?

The dates in question are 10 December 2008 – 25 January 2009 (42 days). I need to be back in Aberdeen, Scotland for the 26th as I have classes, so I need to end up somewhere on the 25th with direct air connections to Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Right now I have:

10/12 thru 11/12 – Wroclaw, Poland
