Tour Italy, Central & Eastern Europe On Line (Video + Stills)
My film “Gondola With the Wind” can be seen on the web if you have a high speed internet connection. The movie begins in Italy with Rome, Pisa, Florence, and Venice. It then features Vienna (Austria), glorious Prague (Czech Republic), Poland (including Warsaw & Auschwitz), Ukraine, and Budapest (Hungary).
This is a free, non-commercial, streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I still sell nothing.
Eastern European countries
I would like some info about traveling Eastern Europe. Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Serbia. Anyone share experiences there and or tips about the places? More towards Kiev, Odessa, L´viv (Ukraine).. Sofia, Varna, Burgas (Bulgaria).. Sighisoara, Bucharest, Timisoara, Transylvania (Romania). I am considering going there this summer and am interested in what people have to say.

Re post..Booking flight for May 2010 Bos-Bud
Hi Don,
How are you doing? I don’t know if you remember me. I have been a member here for years. I have not been on here for a long while. I’m planning to going back to Hungary late May 2010. You were always such a wonderful help here! I remember years ago Tricia was here too! Do you ever here from her? I’m hoping to get my airline ticket very soon, as I would like to bring pieces of luggage with me for FREE! A friend who works at AAA has warned me, that AAA thinks before this year is out all airlines will be charging for 2nd piece. This will include international flights too.

Making rail reservations
I just purchased a European East Pass through raileurope.ca (for $344 CDN)
I was advised to buy first class by others who have travelled by train in Europe.
I have a few questions:
Is it necessary to buy a first class pass to reserve a first class seat on a train? (may be obvious but just trying to figure everything out)
And…
I would like some advice regarding reservations.
working in hungary
i’ve been recently thinking about teaching english as a foreign language in budapest, through STA travel, but wanted to know what budapest is like, any tips on hungary and if teaching english as a foreign language is a good idea?
thanks
Want to take a different route
I have family in Hungary that I visit at least once a year. I usually fly straight to Budapest from the U.S., but would like to try something different this year. I was thinking of flying into Germany (unsure which airport would suit my needs) and taking a train to Budapest.
Any suggestions on routes with lots of pretty scenery? Or, maybe not Germany as my landing point but another suggestion?
I don’t want to hassle with a lot of train ticket purchases, just maybe a Eurail pass to get me straight through.
11 days from Budapest to Vienna
Howdy
Due to unavoidable bookings on either side, I’m landing flying from Istanbul to Budapest, and have 12 days before another booked flight from Vienna to St. Petersburg.
A rough plan was to basically split the time between Budapest and Vienna, with daytrips and a stopover in Bratislava on the way.
I haven’t noticed much positive feedback for Vienna here, and was wondering what advice there was for best using these 12 days.
I’ve got a couple of ideas for daytrips from Budapest but would like to hear other suggestions.
