Can anyone advise on the cheapest way of travelling from Krakow to Prague during late June? The prices I found on Railway goes as high as 80euros..

I will be traveling in Europe in June and I have a week of unplanned itinerary.
I was wondering if it is possible to see Berlin, Prague and Krakow in this time. I only want to be in Poland for a sort time. I fly out of poland on the 29 and want to spend the day before seeing Auschwitz.
If its not feasible to do the three, would you suggest Berlin or Prague for sightseeing / photo-ops etc.

I am starting to plan a 5 city trip to Europe for 2 weeks. Has anyone ever rented a car and traveled city to city or is the train always the way to go?

We will be traveling from Berlin-Krakow-Budapest-Vienna-Prague-Berlin.

We’re planning to take a two and a half/three week trip through central Europe, starting the weekend of Dec 18-20. Our priorities are to visit 1) Auschwitz (and, thus, Krakow), 2) Prague, 3) Budapest, 4)Vienna/Bratislava. The last week we want to visit Berlin (and a city near Berlin where a friend lives). We live in Barcelona, thus the cheapest outbound flights I’ve found (60/70 euros one way) are to either Prague or Budapest.

Can anybody help me how to find out ticket prices from Krakow to berlin via train? My wife and I planning our eurotrip this month. which site should I go to find out about this info, does anybody know?

I am planning my eurotrip for may 2009 and i have run across a few problems.
-my friend who I was hoping to travel with bailed on me recently
-I will most likely still go alone
-I will be only 17 at the time turning 18 in august
-Will this be a problem checking into hostels? (Im going to amsterdam, berlin, prague, vienna, maybe bratislava, maybe krakow, and definitly budapest, if at all relevant)
-Another group I know reletively well offered me to join their group all 18 yrs old, would it be less problematic for me to join them or would I run into the same issues?

Hi! I’m new to this board but just read an older thread about this basic question and was hoping to get some additional information. I’ll be traveling through Budapest, Krakow and Prague this summer (in that order) and am trying to get a feel for how expensive rail travel between the cities will end up being. This would be in late May 09. We would train out of Budapest on 5/27 (to Krakow) and then out of Krakow (to Prague) on 5/30. If anyone could shed some light on this for me, I’d really appreciate it.
