Russia
Russia Comes Alive (Video + Stills)
My film “Tsar Trek” features the grand palaces, fountains and churches of St. Petersburg; a fantastic dance troupe; Moscow (with the Kremlin & McDonald’s); plus the medieval capitals of the once again independent Baltic States: Vilnius, Lithuania; Riga, Latvia; and Tallinn, Estonia.
“Tsar Trek” can be seen on the web, if you have a high speed internet connection.
This is a free, non-commercial streaming video on the Windows Media Player. No ads and no strings attached. I sell absolutely nothing.
Explore Moscow and get photographed
Moscow is full of unique photographic spots. And one the pleasures of travelling is to convert memories into pictures. Beautiful, crisp images enable us to live through the most adventurous moments of a journey again and again. Pictures speak better than words when we share impressions with friends and family.
But it’s hard to get a picture of yourself when you travel solo. Even for 2-3 people taking photos can be difficult – one person hides behind the camera and the group is never together.

Russia, Baltics
I am hoping to have around 9-10 days to travel from ireland to see the Baltic countries. I would like to take in Moscow and St. Petersburgh as well.
I realise it is not much time but is all I have or am likely to have over the next few years.
If anyone has undertaken a similar trip can they please share the detail?
I am looking to do it as cheaply as possible and do not mind roughing it a bit.
Russia to London
I want to travel from St. Petersburg or Moscow to London over the course of 7-10 days. I know there are direct trains that take you most of the way, but I would like to be able to stop in Poland, Germany, and France, or possibly go through Scandinavia and then through Germany and France. What would be the most cost effective way to do this? Should I get a Eruorail pass and then separate tickets out of Russia? Has anyone done this before and knows the best way? Thanks!
