Is this possible on the europass??

My friend and I just bought out plane tickets for a 24 day trip to Europe. We land in Mardid on 7/16 and fly back home on 8/7 from Paris. Our teneitive intinerary is as follows;

Madrid 3 days
Ibiza 2 days
Barcelona 3 days
Marselle, France 2 days
Nice 2 days
Milan 2 days
Munich 3 days
Frankfurt 2 days
Amsterdam 2 days
Paris 3 days

We are planning on getting the 15 day euro pass and would like to get some advise on if this looks like a feseable plan. The train looks like the best option for our travels.

First Timer's First Trip (Spain Maybe?)

I am a 19 year old female who is going to be traveling alone. Ideally I would love to go to Barcelona but I haven’t made up my mind yet. I will be going in September of 2009 and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. Like I said I am pretty sure I will be heading to Spain for my first trip. What hostels would you recommend? How much do you think I will need to spend? Should I stay in one city for 3 weeks of visit different ones? I am not interested so much in seeing a lot of Spain as I am immersing my self in it’s culture.
Thanks for any advice Smile

barcelona to madrid - is it better to fly or take a train

Is it advisable to fly or take a train from Barca to Madrid ? Also how far out is the airport if we would like to fly in both the cities ? Ideally we would like to take the option that is cheaper …..

Inputs are most welcome !

barcelona to madrid - by bus or train ?

Hi Folks need some more help

- How do you recommend we travel from Barcelona to Madrid ? Do we take a train ( purchase online or book once you are there ) or take a bus ?

Is the bus journey too long and tiring ? Are the trains too expensive ?

Would love if someone could also suggest some train reservation sites . I checked out AVS and turned out to be too expensive !

Thanks and Regards

To Reserve or not to reserve....

I’m travelling from Barcelona to Avignon (with a few stops in between) and will be taking trains. The whole system is a bit cofusing to me and i’m wondering if it’s better to make the reservations from here in the States or fine to just buy the tickets once i get there? It seems like it’s a bit more expensive to do it from here, but then I am assured a seat. Perhaps I won’t have any problems finding seats if I just buy them at the station. Any suggestions?

What is the best way to get around?

My itinerary is mostly Western Europe.
I have a lot of questions so please bear with me.

Shall I buy a Eurail pass for the whole 2 months?
I was thinking of booking a flight from Barcelona to Nice.
Should I also book a flight from Paris to Barcelona?
When do you think would be most appropriate to ride overnight trains?

Thx in advance guys!

Stay small or go big? Which is the better way to travel?

Hey all!

I’m leaving in about 2 weeks and have not done much to plan. I’ll be meeting up with a few cousins (who are equally unplanned) and then settling in Goult, France for a 2 week family reunion. We will spend most of that time in Provence. I’m trying to figure out where to go and what to do the two weeks before the reunion. My cousin is going to Switz, Italy, Spain, anf France, but I’m looking for a bit less movement. What’s feasible in two weeks? Also, I’m considering flying from Barcelona to Florence to meet up with my cousin. Do-able or too much of a hassle?

Portugal, Spain, Italy and then Croatia.

Ok Guys, I’ve got Portugal sorted out and I have the following itinerary leading up to Pamplona:

Porto – 3 days
Lisbon – 3 Days (or an extra day in Lisbon and reduce my time in Algarve to do a day trip to Sintra??)
Algarve Region – 4 days
Seville – 2 days
Granada – 2 days

Now should I:
A) Go to Alicante/Valencia for 2 days and go to Madrid for 3 days
B) Go to Madrid for a few days and thn to Valencia before moving up to Barcelona.

Hi All Need some advise on cool places to stay at Barcelona , Loire Valley ( France ) and Amsterdam . Would like to be budget concious however at the same time , would like if the place is centrally located , well connected.

We are looking at a double room – have a budget of approx 60 euro per night for the both of us !

Any recommendations / suggestions are welcome !
