winter

Hey guys, i’m intending to go to Europe for 2 months (December and January) to learn a foreign language. Because its winter though I have no idea where to stay, so I was hoping you could help me with that… Where do you think is the best city for me to stay that I won’t be bored in the winter??

Hey all, well I am considering doing a trip to Turkey in early December. But am unsure about it as yet as I have read a few times that apart from Istanbul and the coast, everywhere shuts down and its hard to get some sort of accomodation. Which is disheartening because I really want to get to the Eastern part of Turkey. I am just a bit worried about the weather, transport and accom to be honest. I do know its cold and snowy for a bit of winter.

Any hints or tips guys?

Where is a good city to spend Christmas? Preferably somewhere that is very likely to be snowy, and somewhere that not everything will be closed (restaurant to eat a nice big christmas dinner)…

I am planning a Eurotrip in winter *for *2 weeks. My Christmas and New Years would be spent in Europe. Currently I have my eye on paris, switzerland, prague, vienna, budapest…. However, I am aware that I would not be able to cram everything into this trip. My style of traveling is fairly relaxed and I prefer quality over quantity. Any advice regarding the better places to travel to in winter and within my tight time frame would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guys,
I discovered this site a few weeks ago while trying to plan my upcoming eurotrip and I have found your discussions very helpful. I was hoping to get some more direct advice on my situation and I am open to any suggestions. I am a 21 year old college student and I am looking for a fun party experience and an oppurtunity to meet people of all different cultures. I would like to see some sights and maybe a museum or two, but my main interests are having spontaneous experiences with some new people.
