$1 Bus Fares Between New York and Boston?
NEW YORK (AP) — Megabus.com intends to become the latest bus line to begin offering $1 fares for travel between New York and Boston.
Megabus.com is based in Paramus, N.J. It already operates in several states and is a subsidiary of Coach USA. Tickets will start at $1 a fare. Prices rise as the departure date approaches.
Megabus.com says its vehicles are equipped with movie screens and free wireless Internet connections. The service is expected to start May 30. It also plans to offer cheap travel to and from six other East Coast cities.
BoltBus announced earlier this month that it would offer $1 fares between New York, Boston and Washington.
