16 Day European Driving Trip
Mon, 02/12/2007 - 13:11
Hello all,
My girlfriend and I would like to do a driving trip starting in Paris. I found this trip on the internet (see link below). I was wondering if anyone could comment on whether they think it is a good intinerary and good value.
Have anyone ever done this trip or is anyone familiar with this company?

Thanks in advance!

It doesn’t look like there’s a set itinerary. It looks like you pick your own itinerary, and they help you find a car and accomodation (which you can do on your own). Am I right?
Figure out an itinerary, and see what price quote they give you.

If you really want to drive around Europe, then figure out an itinerary and see what it costs. I think you will find the train more convenient and cheaper for two of you unless you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring remote rural areas. By the time you add insurance, taxes, extra insurance and taxes for each individual country, parking (a very expensive nightmare in any city) road tolls and fuel the cost usually comes to more than rail unless about 4 of you are willing to cram into a subcompact car.
