17 days to see 4 countries, 4 adults, need help in places to stay, cities to see, places to see, restuarants. budget $8,000.00 us for the 4 of usHow do we get around?
I am leaving from london.england with $8000 for 17 days
Let’s worry about restaurants and places to stay after you figure out an itinerary.
You could take a train Amsterdam>Paris, and Paris>Barcelona.
Maybe you could fly Vueling from Barcelona to Rome.
Or you could take the train from Paris to the Riviera, then rent a car and drive along the coast up into northern Italy, it’s beautiful there.
It might be nice to see some smaller towns along the way.
Hi
Thanks, for responding. We plan to leave London on the 12th September and return on the 21st September. We would like to see the following places: Amsterdam, Italy, Spain and France.I don’t know how possible that is. We need help!
Spotty, you dropped from 17 days to 9 days. I do not recommend trying to visit NL, IT, ES, and FR with only 9 days. Assuming your last reply had incorrect dates, then I agree with Cil, and would also consider more flight hops to save time.
Lon-Ams flight Easyjet.com or whoever’s cheapest www.skyscanner.net/f… (try easybus.co.uk from central London to the airports)
Ams-Par train
Par-Bcn flight Vueling.com or whoever’s cheapest www.skyscanner.net/f…
Bcn-Rom? flight Vueling.com or whoever’s cheapest www.skyscanner.net/f…
Rom? – Lon flight Ryanair, Easyjet or whoever’s cheapest www.skyscanner.net/f…
The length does matter. At that time of year, it starts to get cold in the north, but is generally still quite warm in the south of Spain and Italy and fairly warm in the S of France. For 9 days, here are some suggestions:
1. Fly to Nice, rent a car, spend 2-3 days in Provence or eastern Langedoc and then go down to the Italian Riviera for 2-3 days and then back to Nice or you could fly out of Milan.
2. Rome-Amalfi which would involve flying into Rome spending 2-3 days there and then drive down to the Amalfi Coast and region spend 3-4 days there and then back to Rome.
3. You could also “do” Sicily or Southern Spain, combining city and rural stops.
I forgot a really nice alternative. Fly into Venice, spend some time there (2 full days is probably enough) and then drive up North (look at a map, there’s a lot to see) for a small week and then drive back to Venice.
Hi Cil,
I have organized my dates , here goes;
September 10 travel to London 11 travel to Amsterdam – 14th September
September 15-16 Germany
September 17-21( a.m.) Italy
September 21 (p.m.) – London – September 30th as I have business there.
October 2nd ( p.m.) — October 4th Paris
October 5th Depart London
Is this possible?
Please advise on travel, bed and breakfast, etc.
That’s one messed up itinerary….especially all the back and forth to london. Why not start your trip earlier in Italy and work your way north so that you depart from London?
