So I am planning to go for 2 months to europe and am wondering if 60L is enough. I am about 6 feet tall and 240lbs and size 13 shoe. Will 60L hold my stuff? The problem I see is that I was planning on taking some merrell sandals, but being size 13 they take up monster room. Any suggestions?

I never take more than a 60 lr bag. All the essentials fit without leaving room for me to bring piles of crap I won’t use anyway. The more space you have, the more ‘things you can’t do without’ magically appear. Limit the space, limit the tendency of bringing ballast.

I think 60l is fine. My ideal bag is probably 55l. 60l might be a little bit bigger than is absolutely necessary, but it’s not huge, and you’re a big guy so you can easily handle it.

60L should be fine. You can always strap your shoes to the outside of your pack in a real pinch if they won’t fit.
