2 Months in Europe Itinerary
Wed, 05/25/2011 - 21:11
Hello, I’ll be travelling to Europe from early July to late August, about 55 days, with my gf. We’re just trying to sort out a route at the moment. These are the places we’d like to see and that seem to fit into a workable route. Any comments on places, the route, time spent, etc. would be most appreciated. For travel around we’re thinking eurail passes. For flying, we want to leave from the UK, but don’t necessarily have to start there…just thought it would be the cheapest flights from Canada.
UK for 1 day (coming back at the end)
Amsterdam for 3 days
Berlin for 3 days
Prague for 4 days
Munich for 3 days
Venice for 2 days
Florence for 4 days
Amalfi for 3 days
Rome for 5 days
Marseilles, France for 2 days **
Barcelona for 5 days
Bordeaux, France for 3 days
Paris for 5 days
London for 8 days
Still have about 7 days to distribute…Thanks!
- Not sure about Marseilles, just couldn’t figure out a good way out of Italy and over to France
I am leaving from Gatwick with $6500 for 57 days
Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Munich, Venice, Florence, Rome, Positano, Reggio Calabria, Sicilì, Seville, Madrid, San Sebastián de los Reyes, Barcelona, Grasse, Tours, Paris, London

Try Nice, Antibes, Cannes or somewhere else on the Riviera, or Arles, Dix, or elsewhere in Southern France as opposed to Marseilles — and add about 3 of your extra days to explore this area.
Thanks for the suggestions, that’s very helpful in filling in that gap a bit
