I am currently planning my EuroTrip with a few of my friends and had an idea of how we want to do it. I would just like some feedback to see if it is realistic or not. The trip is for approx. 25 days. I also would like an idea for travel from place to place. Give suggestions.

Home to London
London To Paris
Paris to south France
south France to Rome
Rome to Venice
Venice to Berlin
Berlin to Amsterdam
Amsterdam to London
Lodon to Home

I know it is kinda general…but some ideas and help would be great.

Thanks

That is definitely doable (some&nbspeople will say that it is too much though). If you guys don’t mind really moving around a lot its quite possible. The route you are planning on taking is logical so good job on that. As far as how to get from place to place is up to you. There is a plane company called RyanAir that has really cheap flights all over Europe. Another possibility that I would suggest is getting a Eurail Pass. Go to www.railsaver.com and enter your itinerary and it will tell you the best pass(es) to get. Since you’re trying to cover a lot of ground in a minimal amount of time the railpass may be a better option because that way you can take a few overnight trains so you wake up at your next destination.

I agree definitely doable, I would cut a city out though.

Just a few tips and my 2 cents!.
London – 2 nights.  I pre plan what I want to see and get it done in 2 days.
Make sure if you take the Eurostar Chunnel Train, you have a student or discount pass that does NOT require that you validate your Eurail Pass. (this will save you the days that you are staying in Paris) I validate my pass the night that I take the overnight train to Nice.
London To Paris – Eurostar chunnel train is just under 3 hours.  Plan more time to go through Underground transfer, long lines, xrays and pre-boarding.
Paris to south France – Store your luggage at hostel or hotel and spend the entire last day in Paris sightseeing. Take overnight train and book couchettes in advance.  Arrive Nice at 8:00am and go to the beaches or go to Monte Carlo and checkin to your hotel in the afternoon.
South France to Rome I take a morning train and stop in Cinque Terre. Worth the stop and it brakes up the long train trip. Nice to C.T. is from approx. 8:30am to 12 noon.  C.T. to Rome is 4hrs. 10min.
Rome to Venice pay reservation fee on high speed train approx. 4.5hrs.
Venice to Berlin Check railsaver or raileurope for train schedules.
Berlin to Amsterdam Check railsaver or raileurope for train schedules
Amsterdam to London We fly on www.flybmi.com to London Heathrow and catch our flight home back to LAX the same day.  London is expensive.
London to Home

have you looked into an open jaw ticket?
i think your trip is very doable. i don’t think you need to cut out cities. you will save time by not returning to London but if you’ve already purchased tickets and want to save money you could look into the discount airlines.

I am leaving from Palo Alto with $123 for 22 days
London, Paris, Tours, Caen, La Rochelle, Annecy, Genoa, Venice, Florence, Rome

You mention ‘friends’ how many of you will there be, cause not everyone will want to do want everyone else wants to do, and 25 days altogether can cause friction, so I would maybe cut out a city and have a couple of relaxing days along the way to ease out any tension there may be, but I could also be talking out of turn, and you guys are really great mates and will travel well together
Have fun whatever you decide to do

I agree. There is 4 of us going…and we are all really close friends. Arguing isnt the problem at all. Ya i was thinking about getting a cheap flight from like amsterdam to go home. This would save some serious money.

Well i already have a London Return flight from toronto for 600 Canadian in the end of july. I wonder if i tried to get a one way and then get a flight from amsterdam home, i would save money?
