3-4 month Euro Trip
Wed, 06/27/2007 - 01:23
Hi to fellow forumers, I am planning my first eurotrip from early september- late december (just before christmas). Im leaving from Canada and probobly flying into London then just winging it from there. Me and a friend are planning on buying a 3 month eurail pass, and just play it by ear and travel throughout europe. Im working right now and i will be for 4 months saving all my money for this trip hopefully i will have around 7500 but that has to include plane and eurail pass so like 4000-5000 for spending and what not, I realize that I will have to be relitevely cheap. I was wondering if it is cheaper to buy my eurail pass over here online or wait until i get there. And any advice on anything that you can see fit from my european adventure would be gladly excepted, Thanks a bunch, I can’t wait!

Sounds like a fun trip. Get some GREAT advice by clicking on the top two threads under the “Favorite Places” category. You will get advice compiled by countless travelers. Yeah, you’ll have to be relatively cheap, especially with the Canadian Dollar right now compared to the Euro. A Eurail Pass cannot only be bought from abroad. You CANNOT purchase a Eurail Pass once you are in the European Union (EU). Some people suggest getting it, some don’t. I used a eurail pass and liked it. Others will recommend you fly everywhere through Ryanair or Easyjet. Do searches in the cheap flights and transportation forums and you’ll find a lot of pros and cons for each one. Do some research by using the search and go from there.
You do realize that the ladies of the night go for ~200 CAD$, so if you want to eat a little bit that pretty much limits you to 1 ho a week and you’ll have to make do on 200$ a month… not very much, although it can be done if you’re staying in train stations/parks
