the hage 1

I’d say that’s to much. Drop at least 3 places from your itinerary, then think about droping even more. Too much traveling between places could ruin your vacation if you miss a train, bus, plane, ect.
Is there any places you suggest going to , or leaving out. We are 25, looking for romace, party, and a casual time.
I’d cut Milan, Frankfurt, entire Austria, maybe Zurich
Way too much.
For example, Paris and Barcelona are about 5 or 6 hours apart, that is if you sue the fast and expensive TGV train. Now, you need to consider travelling time, getting around your destination, checkingin then heading out. If you do that for a day in Barcelona, you will be lucky to see a few sights, have dinner, go to bed and get your next train.
I assume most of these places will be new for you, and with many different languages, getting around will be tricky too.
I recommend cutting out about half of what you have listed here. Travelling 4+ hours to get to a new city, walking around a little then taking off the next day seems like more trouble than it’s worth.
You are asking for trouble. Too many places, too little time in any one place, too much travelling time, and little time partying and being casual. Most of your time will be spent coming, going and adjusting. More obviously, you have no real backpacking party destinations on your itinerary. Other people here can help you to identify these places, if you are a little more specific about what you mean when you say, "
arty".
This is an insane schedule. Decide if you want a sightseeing trip or a romantic one. You will spend all of your time travelling on this schedule.
If this is your first trip, think about increasing Paris to 3 days, Rome to 2-3 days, Prague to 2-3 days (all at least). Then cut your least essential stops. I love Barcelona, but it’s a bit out of the way (well, Prague might be too). Cut your city list in half. You will have a better, more relaxed time. Even if you’re looking to party.
i REALLY APRECIATE ALL THE HELP. WELL I GUESS WE ARE LOOKING FOR MORE OF A SIGHT SEEING TRIP MORE THAN ANYTHING. WHAT ABOUT THIS.
THE HAGE 1
BRUGES 1
PARIS 2
ZURICH 1
MUNICH 2
MILAN 1
ROME 2
VENICE 2
SALZBURG 1
PRAGUE 2
BERLIN 2
AMSTERDAM 2
I DONT WANT A SCHEDULED TRIP BUT JUST A BASIC IDEA. I AM OPEN AND IT DOESN HAVE TO BE 21 DAYS JUST AROUND THAT MANY
Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Rome, all these places deserve more than 2 days, I’d say at leaaaaast 4 nights per city. Take into account that you have to check out early as well, even if you can leave your luggage in the hostel or hotel, you still have to wake up early to pack.
Honestly, IMHO, stay in one or two countries. Especially since some of your destinations are at least 8 hours away.
remember, paying for airfare, trains and acomodations are really a bad investment if you’re planning on seeing just a museum per city. Especially if you’re going with your sweetheart, relax and enjoy. You’ll rush around a lot when you get kids.
To give you an idea my sister I did 5 cities (in 4 countries plus one day of Fjord tour)in 11 days and it was just too much. We tried to see as much as we can and we did see but we were about dead when we got back. I’d say figure figure 2-3 days per city at least. Otherwise it will be too stressfull and you will end up spending way too much time on the road and not enough sightseeing (if you have the energy left for it)
Why don’t you take a look at a map of Europe and come back when you have an itinerary that actually has a chance.
Unless of course you are going on a romantic tour of Europe’s finest hostels and train stations…because that’s all you’ll remember!
Be sure to post your pics when you get back!
See the "helpful hints" thread below. Yes, you can see all those places… out of the window of an airplane.
Cut 2/3 of it out. Then go have fun.
