Leaving for France for a year and I need to know if this will work. I will have to plug in my radio/cd player/clock in, my laptop and other things. I was thinking of getting one of those RadioShack voltage converters (US to European 220V) then plug a power stip into it. I am guessing that I need the most powerful one (circuit analysis is not my strength). Will the 1600 Watts work (that’s the max they have)? If not, what should I do because I don’t want to blow up my stuff or damage them.

Any help will be appreciated.
