Hello,

I usually take pics of sky, or sunrise/sunset (plus landscape) of each city/country I visit. Which spot are the best of:
1. Paris
2. Barcelona
3. Prague
4. Zurich

What time usually the sunrise in the morning and the sunset? They do shine during winter right? hehe … since I live in a country where the sun constantly shining during the day from 6am to 6pm, never change all year long.

Thanks a lot in advance for any feedback.

I am leaving from Paris and traveling for 18 days
Paris, Barcelona, Prague, Zürich, Chamonix, Paris

Go to TimeandDate.com for sunrise/sunset times.
For Paris, it might sound like a cliché, but I am thinking that there would be good quality of light in Montmarte or Notre Dame for either sunrise or sunset.
Also, the Eiffel Tower from the River Seine would be beautiful at sun-down, when they turn on the lights.
For Barcelona, what about La Sagrada Familia, or the beach or the harbor?

In Paris, my suggestion would be Pont Alexandre III. This bridge overlooks the Seine River and it has the Eifell tower in the distance (can’t see in this photo). Stand on the bridge at the centre. In the centre are some angels or nymphs (whatever) with gold crowns and torches. Shoot towards the eiffel tower with the nymph stautes in the foreground. You’ll get a nice reflection of the sunset on water and and off the gold on the stautues.

Thank you! the site is really helpful! I will try from Seine River to the Eiffel. For Montmarte I think the sunrise is from the front, not from the back or side of it. I saw some pictures online… seemed like only can take pic on sunset there. Now I hv options for sunrise and sunset.

Mont Juic in Barcelona.
Climb up the steps & escalators, there are heaps, or there’s a funicular you can get. It’s where the ’92 Olympic village is, it overlooks the whole city. You can see Sagrada Familia, the building that looks like a big dildo…. Huge skyline shots.

Sacre Coeur is also good in Paris, but I don’t think you can see the Eiffel Tower from that scape.
