airasia australia to london
Wed, 09/15/2010 - 03:07
Just wondering if anyone has used airasia to get to Europe or heard anything from other travelers?
Looking to around April next year, traveling from Australia, they have Mel-KL return for approx 350AUD and KL-London return for about 800AUD including tax which seems very cheap!
I am leaving from Melbourne, Australia with $4000 for 24 days

my friend has only ever travelle with them around asia, and she said it wasnt too bad. not much leg room though.
the only thing is you wont be able to book air asia through a travel agency, as ones i have asked to find fares for them have said they don’t book air asia as they are unreliable…..and i thought tiger was! but they will book tiger.
one pro about airasia, is they can have some awesome sales! they had one earlier this year for one way flights Melbourne to London for $240!!!!!

yea i’ve seen those sale flights around as well! Im not sure if I would be able to handle a long haul flight with so little leg room though :s

i think the small leg room was only the the domestic flights within asia, as form what i can gather, most of their flights are less than 3 hours.
when booking, for an extra fee (they have many of those
) you can opt for a “hot seat” which gives you extra leg room. exit rows, and i think the first 4 rows. or else you can opt for the lie flat seats
