Airfare Help
Fri, 03/16/2007 - 23:41
Hi! I just booked a one way flight in August from Sacramento to Rome for 2 for $1593, do you think this is reasonable? We plan on taking the train from Rome to Paris & then to London (hope it will be safe!). I need airfare flying back to Sacramento from London also in August, what would be considered a reasonable amount to pay? Please help, I have never been to Europe before so I have no idea what would be reasonable. I really appreciate any replies, thank you in advance!

What dates do you want to travel in august? The lowest one way fare I can find right now is into SFO which is comming up on sta’s uk site at 321 gbp($621). Into Sac the lowest fare I could find also on sta’s uk site was 444 gbp or ($861) these were based upon a return of aug 22nd. Another thing I just saw was 203gbp ($393) to jfk on british airways and then $134 from jfk to sac which would come to a grand total of $526 the only problem with that is that you most likely would have to overnight in nyc.
In the future if you plan a trip like this it might be cheaper to buy a open jaw ticket which would look like the sac-rome/london-sac.

Thank you so much for the tips, I really appreciate it. I’ll keep looking at those sites you mentioned. I need a flight back from London to Sacramento on August 13th, if you see anything else please let me know, thank you so much!
The prices are pretty much the same..I just sent you a PM.
