The Alhambra Palace

A breath-taking look into Spain’s Moorish history. The castle was created to be beautiful. The Alhambra is located at the top of a large hill looking over the beautiful city of Granada. Full of well maintained gardens, and architecture that can only be regarded as fine art, it is truely a cultural jackpot. Much of the building’s design can’t be appriciated in photos, and needs to be seen in the flesh. It astounds me that so much work could be put into stone. Fountains are throughout the grounds, with lush vegetation accompanying it. Orange trees grow like they do in much of Andalucia adding a spice of colour to The Alhambra. I can’t recommend going to see this cultural site enough if you plan on visiting the region. Bring your camera! I took most of the pictures of my trip there, you more than likely will as well!
