The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (Wimbledon)
City: London, United Kingdom
Address & Details:
The All England Lawn Tennis Club
London SW19 5AE
+44 (0)20 8944 1066
More commonly referred to simply as Wimbledon, The All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club is home to one of the most storied events in all of sports — The Championships at Wimbledon. Held for two weeks starting in late July, the tournament is the crown jewel in the Grand Slam and holds unequivocal prestige in the tennis world. Scoring tickets to centre court can be tough; lotteries are held before the competition, or you can queue up at the grounds on the day of the event. Prices vary depending on the day, time, and court. You can also pay a nominal fee to enter the grounds and watch some of the exhibition games at the smaller courts, though you need to wait in line for this option.
If you are visiting London the rest of the year, you can book a tour of the grounds and visit the museum for around £15.00. See the
Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum for further details.
Price: Grounds Only: £5.00 – £20.00; Centre & No. 1 Courts: £20.00 – £84.00
