I’ve searched long and hard for any way for Americans to work legally anywhere in Europe in some type of casual job, and it’s damn near impossible. I have a few questions for those who have worked in the UK (mostly Ireland). I am going there in May for about 6-12 months, and I would kill for a pub job in Dublin (hopefully Temple Bar). My first question is about residence: Will they care if I’m there for more than the 3 month tourist time? Also, will customs raise a stink, and hopefully they won’t stamp my passport when I enter the country, if I’m there for the whole 6 months? I mean, I plan on going other places (like Oktoberfest), so I’ll be in and out of the country. Would that affect anything? And does anybody know somebody that has worked under the table and actually gotten deported? MAN, I could use any help anybody is willing to offer!!
