Amsterdam - africa
Mon, 12/20/2010 - 22:50
Hi I know this is not Africa forum but I don’t know where else to ask. From Amsterdam to Johannasberg OR Nairobi and then to Toronto for Sept. is around 1100 all taxes in. I would only need to get a one way to Amsterdam from Toronto which could be had for around 375 or 400. Buying Toronto to Joburg or Nairboi is around 2000. AND no stay in Amsterdam which is what we would like. Whats anyones opinion? Any input would be great if anyone has any knowledge of these areas. Is this a good deal??
Thank you
I am leaving from toronto and traveling for 31 days

I think either one-way flights, or 2 round-trips, could be cheapest—you just have to price out both. For example,
YYZ>AMS>JNB>YYZ … which seems like you’ve already checked
or,
YYZ>AMS>YYZ Roundtrip Ticket #1
AMS>JNB/NBO>AMS Roundtrip Ticket #2
I would check it out using multi-city flight searches Mobissimo, Kayak, Cfares, ITAsoftware, and Fly.com first. Then I’d use those to check each round trip. Then I’d check for one-way prices, and add Momondo and Skyscanner to the search.
On the AMS>NBO/JNB flight(s), I’d probably try Momondo and Skyscanner first. Might also add Kelkoo.nl to that flight price search, since it picks up some Dutch discounters and possibly some charters that could be operating on your desired dates.
Ok great! Lots of info, I will look into it and get back to tell what I’ve found. Thanks alot.

hi ok well, booked through yapta price alerts. From Amsterdam to Johannasburg to Toronto For 890. US. the price then dropped to 851 now 809 but I guess still happy with it. It is on British Airways for all flights. Thanks for the advice.
