It has been my experience that clubs in Madrid are very expensive and I did not find many backpackers in them. For example “Kapital” (Metro “Atocha”) charges an entrance fee of 26-31 Euro and one drink can run you up to 12 Euro. A local told me that most “madrileños” stick to bars, pubs, discobars and taverns for nightlife.

Have I missed anything in Madrid, or are the clubs all expensive?
