I remember talking to someone I met this summer while travelling who bought an "around the world ticket". He was a fellow American and said that the ticket had six stops that would take you around the world (I think you can choose from several cities).
For example, he left from Texas to London, Rome to Singapore to Austrailia to New Zealand to Fiji to Texas. There may be one or two more stops in between. He paid around $1200 and the trip lasted 6 months.

Has anyone done this or have any info?
