any Rome suggestions?
Wed, 08/25/2004 - 16:31
If anyone has good places to go out in Rome, or places to see there let me know! I’m going to be studying there for the next 3 months, ane would love all of the help that I can get.
Thanks!
Lindsay

Definitly check out Vatican City! Amazing. Other great places to see would be the regulars Colliseum, etc. Take the walking tour of the city. Quite interesting.
Just got back from Rome and the best place for nightlife is in the Travestere area…..but only in the winter season as some of the clubs close in summer because all the Italians leave Rome! Alot of ppl hang out by the spanish steps and trevi fountain at night.
Please ignore JonADD, he can’t read and didn’t realize that he was in the Nightlife forum – otherwise I doubt he would have recommended the VATICAN CITY as the center of Roman debauchery.

Travestere is great, so is the Testaccio area (for clubs). Rome has a weird nightlife. Not many sit-down bars, mostly people drinking in restaurants, crowded places and in the streets. In places like Piazza Novona and the Spanish Steps you’ll find American or Irish pubs packed with Americans studying abroad. Depending on your taste, you can either flock there or do what I did: avoid like the plague.
i will be in rome for new years and want to know what would be a good idea for the new years bash. Where can I go party? Has anyone experiened rome on new years. Im traveling to italy alone for the first time.
