Hi Everyone,

I am planning on spending 3-4 weeks in Europe at the end of February, start of March. This is my Birthday and really the only time I can get off of work for that long. I live in California, and this will be my first time out of the US (except Mexico which, doesn’t really count).

I was hoping to visit Dublin, London, and Amsterdam. I was hoping to throw in a few more cities as well. I was thinking Berlin, Prague, and Brussels. I am not sure about Brussels though; I am not hearing great things about it.

Anyway, here are my concerns. I know the weather is going to be cold and wet; it is winter I accept that. I have heard from various people however that, it is difficult to get around – both from city to city and within the cities – during the winter. The days are really short making it difficult to see all the tourist attractions during daylight hours. I also heard some things are closed and/or close early in winter; like tourist attractions, restaurants, and stores. Is all this true or are my friends and family trying to keep me home?

SO, I am turning to all of you. Is it worth trip? Is there anyone who has been to these cities in winter that can share their experiences? Also, any recommendations of places in those cities or stops between you can recommend would be great. Smile

Thank You,
David
