i’m planning to stay in varenna.  is there anything to do from there, or do i have to go to bellagio to rent a canoe, bike, etc?  how long does it take to get from varenna to bellagio?

any recommendations for while i’m in the area (2 days?)

thanks.

Was there years ago and it was beautiful then.
You can water ski and wind surf. There are beautiful villages (Moltrasio) to visit and gardens to visit, such as Villa La Fontanelle and Piazza Cavour.  As I recall, the Alps are visible.
I think it’s just a short ferry ride between Varenna and Bellagio. I think Bellagio is a bit more touristy.

I stayed in Menaggio, but the whole area is a great stop. Plenty of hiking to do and water activities, but renting a bike definitely sounds like a good idea.

Definitely sounds cool.  I’ve got nothing productive to add since I haven’t been there since I was 7 (1982) []

Then why answer?
Did the person ask for “useless and irrelevent information about childhood trips to Lake Como”?
No she wants useful information.

It was all part of my plan to annoy Eurotrip’s resident jackass/self-styled sarcastic humorist who isn’t really funny.  Seems to have worked perfectly.

This is so weird. I just finished watching movie Casino Royale and in that movie there was a scene from Lake Como. It looked SOOOOOOO beautiful. They showed a house on edge of lake with the BEST view ever. Made me wanna go there. If Anybody seen that movie would know what scene i am talking about.
