Anyone going to work with SWAP?
Sat, 07/31/2004 - 21:31
Im planning on travelling to europe to work with a program called SWAP (Student Work Abroad Program). I would like to work in Ireland, Scotland and England and then take some time to also backpack other areas of Europe. Im thinking of going for approx. 1 year leaving either sometime from Jan – June 2005. If anyone has any advise about this that would be great and I am also looking for anyone you might want to come along!

ashley could you tell me more about the SWAP program.
www.swap.ca
www.travelcuts.ca
These sites will tell you what it is all about!
Yeah those sites are where I have all my information from…if you have any questions just feel free to ask!
Well then if you’ve researched all that you will want to start looking into finding work/accomodation while there I like using www.thegumtree.com
why would you pay SWAP so much when you can get a visa on your own and work by paying less? the resources SWAP gives you an be found elswhere too righ? so i don’t get what’s so special about SWAP. not dissing it, but someone please explain.
if anyone here is interested i would be glad to swap your assistence during the olive picking season with a place to stay , italian lessons great food and a very different culture. i am in italy so get in touch if interested even for other periods of the year.
