are there many small jobs in europe?
Tue, 01/04/2011 - 19:12
basically myself and a friend both 18 want to go to Europe with limited money and were wondering if there are many jobs that pay enough for food and hostels and if anything could be recommended it would be greatly appreciated.

you can find jobs in Europe while on travel.
@jhnrbrts— I’m not sure what the purpose of your one sentence comments are, but this (as well as most other responses from you) have not been helpful. If you have something to say, please make sure it is accurate, or at least makes sense. If you have any questions, please send me a private message.
@Ty — you will have a very hard time finding part time work — especially if you are not an EU citizen. I would strongly recommend having the money you need before you leave for Europe as it will be very tough to find under the table work.

thanks for the reply it was a definite eye opener,we currently live in England so the eu thing shouldnt be a problem. as an add on to my question do hostels let you work for a place to stay or is this very rare,we are looking to go to either France or Spain.the work doesnt have to be that part time i just thought there would be more of that available.

Since you are an EU citizen, you will have a much easier time, and some times hostels offer work but usually it is for very little (or no) money and a free bed. To get these jobs the best thing to do would be to get friendly with the guys who work there and they can point you in the right direction.
