I leave in 5 weeks for 5 months. I bought some new 8 hole docs (They actually call ‘em Doc Martin ‘Air Walks’). I wore them home (about 6 blocks) and had two massive blisters on the back of my heels. No problem, gotta break ‘em in, right? So I wait 4 days until I’m all healed up and then cover myself up with moleskin and walk to work (10 blocks). By the time I got to work, I had 2 NEW blisters. Moleskin didn’t help at all, it just wore right through it. I took em to a shoe store and got some insole’s to make them a little smaller. It’s not helping at all tho. Everytime I step the heel of my foot rubs against the back of the shoe….
Has anyone else had these sorts of problems? Is there some solution? It’s infuriating to spend the money on some shoes and I can’t wear them for more than 20 minutes.
I’m normally a sneaker kind of guy. I’m really considering going out and getting some Nike Air’s or something becuase I KNOW they’ll be comfortable and last at least the length of the trip – I’m just concerned about the weather…
Thanks for any adivce…
