First of all, I would take a day off Venice.  It is a beautiful city but all kinda looks the same and can be seen really in a day.  Also, were were advised against going to Milan by several people.  One couple basically forced a kid travelling with us to change his plans to cut the city out.  I have not idea why, never been there but take it for what it’s worth.  Maybe add those days by taking a train from Paris to Florence and visiting and travelling through some of Switzerland which I’m sure would be awesome during the winter.
