My friend and I are planning to go to Germany, Austria and Italy. Our original idea was to fly into Munich, but my friend’s parents have a house in Frankfurt. So now he’s saying we should fly into Frankfurt, spend a few days there, then drive down the Auto Ban to Munich. Now I’ve heard stories about the Auto Ban and what I know for sure is that there is a VERY flexible speed limit. Is it a safe way to travel around Germany, or should we go by train?
