I wanted to know how available the ferries are. Should I book it in advance or just show up at a port and hop on a boat? I also wanted to know the same about the Cycladic islands..should I book it or just show up?..lemme know please..

The only ferry we ever booked in advance was an overnighter from Venice to Corfu.
We were traveling in early July and did take other ferries (including another overnighter, Ios to Piraeus) with no reservations and no problems.
This was 7 years ago, your mileage may vary.
