a friend sent me this email:

"the Catholics are celebrating something called Jubilee 2000 and the whole country has turned on it visa-a-vis tourism, i.e., prices are higher than usual and places will be much more crowded. This is a place you will undoubtedly and easily get back to, so don’t hestitate to cut down here if $$ and crowds are too much, esp. in smaller places like Florence and Venice, which will be very crowded."

has anyone else thought about this and will it affect your travel plans?

I am interested in how other eurotrippers are reacting to this.
