I plan on backpacking through europe for 3.5 months this summer and was wondering what size of a backpack I should get. Along with staying in hostels, I plan on camping throughout Europe and am planning on bringing a small tent and sleeping bag as well as a few other camping equipment. Is a 75L pack big enough for all of this or is it too big? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I would say that anything bigger than 4000 square inches is too big.

From experience I’d suggest 50L or under

I have a question, I am going in Summer and have a 40L pack. Would you think it would be wise to take  a  20-30 l pack as kind of like a ‘daypack’?

not wise
might as well have most of your volume in one pack
a day pack should hold minimal things. camera, water bottle, guidebook.  you don’t need even 20 L for that
happy travels.
