I’ve never really been backpacking before, though I’ve done some pretty extensive travelling around Europe.

I’m taking my little brother w/ my fiance and his brother for his 17th birthday on a backpacking trip… I had originally thought of Europe Immediately because its something that i’ve come very familiar with… but, thinking about it more, I’d really like to go to Latin America.

I speak almost very proficient spanish (if that makes a difference).
Money is a bit of an issue, but not terribly.

What do you guys think??
If Latin America, does anyone have a selected route??
