Bank Statement and Schengen
Tue, 01/26/2010 - 09:39
Hey
I’m applying for the Schengen on Jan 24th and traveling to Italy March 12th how much should I have in my account to guarantee a visa? is $2,000 enough ? I also have a credit card
Forgot to add, the trip is in no longer than 10 days
Playhead,
On 26 January, you posted that you’ll be applying for your visa on 24 January. Unless you have a time machine, I don’t see how this is possible.
I don’t think there is a set amount of how much you should have saved up…as long as it looks like you have enough to support yourself during your entire stay.

And, you probably know what you’re doing, but just to make sure: citizens of some countries (including the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Japan) do not need a visa if they will be staying in the Schengen area less than 90 days. What country are you a national of?

lol I meant the 28th sorry. I’m actually from Saudi Arabia.
Playhead,
Ok, yes you need a Schangen visa, and I found this visa requirement on an Italian consular website:
That’s 1000 USD per month.

Since your primary destination is Italy, it’s advised you get your Schegen visa from an Italian consulate.
